Challenges

Uable’s revamped "Challenge" feature identified lowuser engagement as the primary problem. Users found challenges either not sufficiently aligned with their interests or too complex and time-consuming to locate and engage with. The lack of supportive resources and difficulty in understanding the challenges further exacerbated the situation, leading to low conversion and completion rates.

Results

The revamp introduced two new categories of challenges, "Fun" and "Skilled," to cater to different user preferences and ease the intimidation factor. The redesign of the challenge details page and improved navigation and support on the app significantly enhanced user experience. These changes led to an increased overall challenge participation rate by 13% in the first month and 18% in the second month, demonstrating a successful intervention towards boosting user engagement.
